Utah warns of illegal ‘Cat’s Claw’ kratom after 4 new deaths
State health officials are warning about illegally sold “Cat’s Claw” kratom products following four newly reported deaths linked to the substance.
Utah Poison Control says some products have been mislabeled and found at smoke shops and gas stations, despite being illegal to sell in Utah.
Officials are urging people to avoid products marketed as “Cat’s Claw” or containing concentrated kratom alkaloids and to seek medical attention if concerning symptoms develop.
