Hogle Zoo mourns loss of beloved 15-year-old otter

🦦💔 UTAH’S HOGLE ZOO SAYS GOODBYE TO BELOVED OTTER

Utah’s @hoglezoo is mourning the loss of Nessie, a 15-year-old river otter who had been part of the zoo since 2015.

According to the zoo, Nessie was humanely euthanized on October 11 following complications from acute liver disease.

After more than a decade at Hogle Zoo, Nessie had become a familiar face to visitors and a beloved member of the zoo’s animal family.

❤️ Rest easy, Nessie.
