Crumbl closes 57 locations as cookie chain faces sales slump
🍪 Is the Crumbl cookie empire starting to crumble?
Utah-founded Crumbl is facing a major slowdown, with 57 locations closing as the popular cookie chain struggles with declining sales and customer traffic.
Average annual store sales have fallen from $1.84 million in 2022 to $1.14 million in 2025, a decline of roughly 38%. August foot traffic was also reportedly down 32% compared to the previous year.
Once one of the fastest-growing dessert brands in the country, Crumbl is now facing questions about whether its rapid expansion and viral popularity are sustainable.
Do you think Crumbl is losing its hype, or have the cookies simply gotten too expensive? 👀
