A Sanpete County couple has been arrested after six children, ages 2 to 16, reportedly described physical abuse and being denied food as punishment.
According to investigators, the children reported being hit with belts and tree branches, while food was allegedly withheld as a form of discipline. Some of the children reportedly became so hungry they would seek food elsewhere.
Andrew and Michelle Skousen were booked for investigation of 11 child-abuse counts. The allegations have not been proven in court.
