Riverton Issues Precautionary Boil Water Order

Riverton City has issued a precautionary boil water order after officials say an illegal cross-connection allowed irrigation water to enter the city’s culinary water system.

City officials say the order is being issued out of caution while water quality testing is underway. Residents in affected areas are being advised to boil water before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or preparing food until further notice.

Officials say more updates will be provided as testing continues.
