utah days shrinks by more than an hour this september
The Farmers' Almanac says daylight decreases rapidly across the U.S. during September, with Utah's latitude putting much of the state in the range of losing more than an hour by the end of the month.

By the end of September, Salt Lake City will have roughly 70 fewer minutes of daylight than it did at the beginning of the month.
The change isn’t from daylight saving time that doesn’t end until November 1. It’s the natural result of the Northern Hemisphere tilting farther away from the sun as fall approaches.
Salt Lake City’s sunset will shift from around 8:01 p.m. on September 1 to roughly 7:12 p.m. by September 30.
