YouTuber Reckless Ben has released Part 1 of an undercover investigation into Provo Canyon School, a controversial Utah youth treatment facility that has faced allegations from former students for years.
The video documents a months-long operation that raises questions about the school’s hiring practices, treatment of students and response to families. In one instance, Ben’s friend was allegedly hired as a teacher despite having no high school diploma and a criminal record.
The investigation also includes accounts from former students and a recorded call in which staff allegedly asked about an account balance while Ben posed as a parent seeking information about a missing student.
Provo Canyon School was contacted for comment. No response was received at the time of publication. Part 2 of the investigation is still to come.
