One person is dead and two others were injured following a shooting outside a funeral service in Kearns Monday.
The shooting happened outside a church near 5013 S. 4620 West. Police say the incident stemmed from a confrontation connected to the funeral. One victim later died from their injuries.
The investigation has since expanded across the Salt Lake Valley. A second victim reportedly left the scene in a vehicle before being located and boxed in by officers in West Valley City.
SWAT officers have also surrounded Intermountain Medical Center in Murray as law enforcement continues responding to the incident.
