A former BYU professor has been sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges in a child enticement case.

Stephen Henry McKean, 32, was accused of sending sexually explicit messages and a photo to an undercover officer posing as a 17-year-old girl.

A judge suspended McKean’s 364-day jail sentence and placed him on probation for three years.
