Man Dies in Water Related Incident at Jordanelle Reservoir

Authorities say a 911 call reported a man floating in the water Monday morning, and he was later pronounced dead at the scene with no indication of foul play.

Emergency crews responded to a fatal water-related incident at Jordanelle Reservoir Monday morning.

According to the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call was received around 7:45 a.m. reporting a man seen floating in the water.

Multiple agencies, including Wasatch County Fire, sheriff’s deputies, and the Utah Division of Natural Resources, responded to the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the reservoir.

Authorities said the individual appeared to have been paddleboarding and was alone at the time of the incident. He was also reported to be wearing a life jacket.

Investigators say there is no indication of foul play, and the incident is believed to be accidental.

The man’s identity has not been released, and officials are working to notify family members.
