Utah AI executive accused of creating explicit deepfakes using photos of children and people he knew.

Police say 48-year-old Burke Clark Powers admitted to using AI to create explicit deepfake images after investigators allegedly discovered AI-generated child sexual abuse material stored in his Google Drive account.

According to court documents, investigators say some of the manipulated images involved children and individuals personally known to Powers. He now faces multiple felony charges as the case moves through the court system.
