An Orem man is facing more than two dozen felony charges after prosecutors say he allegedly held a woman against her will at a campsite near Mount Timpanogos.

According to charging documents, investigators allege the 50-year-old restrained the woman with zip ties and a dog collar, strangled her, and cut her nearly 30 times before she was able to escape. He has since been booked into the Utah County Jail and now faces numerous felony charges related to the incident.

The allegations are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
