utah motorcyclist injured in fatal sr-59 crash faces $82K in bills; driver who started crash still unidentified
Family says Jared Fredrickson is relearning mobility after a spinal cord injury while UHP searches for the driver.
A Utah motorcyclist is facing mounting medical bills and a lengthy recovery after suffering a serious spinal cord injury in a deadly crash on SR-59 in Hurricane earlier this year.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, the May 1 crash began when a speeding black passenger car attempted to pass traffic in oncoming lanes, forcing another driver to swerve.
The resulting multi-vehicle crash left one person dead and several others involved, including motorcyclist Jared Fredrickson, according to his family.
The driver believed to have triggered the crash had not been identified in UHP’s earlier reports.
