Utah native Braiden Bell was dropped as the Portland Trail Blazers’ new TV play-by-play announcer just hours after being announced.
The decision came after offensive social media posts from 2012 and 2013 resurfaced, which Bell reportedly made when he was around 15 years old.
Bell has since apologized, saying the posts don’t reflect who he is today. The Trail Blazers also acknowledged shortcomings in their vetting process.
