A Taylorsville father is facing charges after court documents allege he zip-tied his 11-year-old daughter to a bed and made her sleep in a garage.

According to charging documents, Robert McIntosh is accused of restraining the child while Alysia McIntosh allegedly knew about the incidents and participated in forcing the girl to sleep in the garage.

Both are now facing multiple charges tied to child abuse and neglect allegations.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
