California continues to stand out as the biggest source of out-of-state vehicles being registered in Utah.
Since 2020, nearly 21% of the more than 1.4 million vehicles coming from outside Utah were previously registered in California, according to Utah Tax Commission data.
That works out to roughly 1 in every 5 out-of-state vehicles another snapshot of how much movement Utah has seen from its western neighbor in recent years.
